About California MTSS 2022 Professional Learning Institute
Join us for the California MTSS 2022 Professional Learning Institute on July 12-14, 2022. This year’s event will be held in person at the Anaheim Convention Center, next to the Disneyland Resort!
The Orange County Department of Education, Butte County Office of Education, and the UCLA Center for the Transformation of Schools are hosting the 5th Annual California MTSS Professional Learning Institute (PLI) on July 12-14, 2022 at the Anaheim Convention Center.
This event brings together classroom educators, administrators, school counselors, school psychologists, school-based mental health clinicians, district leaders, county offices of education leaders, and community-based organizations to support the creation of
inclusive and equitable learning environments.
The California MTSS 2022 PLI theme “Hear Us, Together We Rise” will focus on promoting excellence, equity, and access for all learners through the California MTSS Framework and the California Department of Education’s School Conditions and Climate Work Group Recommendation Framework (CCWG). Participants will engage in professional learning centered around the following outcomes:
Access and Equity – Participants will explore strategies, tools, and resources for addressing persistent issues of access and equity in their district’s underserved populations.
Deepen Knowledge and Practice – Participants will be provided focused, classroom-level instruction, tools, and resources to support Inclusive Academic Instruction, Inclusive Behavior Instruction, and Inclusive Social-Emotional Instruction. Sessions will meet participants where they are and include content that supports foundational knowledge, exploration to build skills and practices, enhance coaching/professional growth, use of data as it informs decisions, and lessons learned through the implementation process.
California Multi-Tiered System of Support (California MTSS) – Participants will deepen their knowledge of how to implement the California MTSS framework and the Continuum of Support to create equitable and inclusive learning environments for all.
School Conditions and Climate – Participants will learn from practitioners across the state how they are successfully creating positive school conditions and climates that ensure everyone in the school community feels social, emotionally, and physically safe, supported, connected, and engaged in learning to teach.
